Shasta Lake City
I graduated in 1994 from Central Valley High School and it hadn’t even occurred to me that I could, or would, become an artist. This mural was installed just a mile up the road from that school 29 years later. I was inspired by the oxidized iron in the red dirt around my childhood home and the deep aqua hues of the water beneath Shasta Dam.
